**NOTE**: This is an older rip and some vinyl noise may be heard on the recording. I've decided to allow it here for the time being since it still has much better sound quality than the CD. However, I may redo this rip with superior sound in the future.
An incredibly strong record output by one of the UK’s finest late psych-era bands. No good CD of this has ever appeared, at least nothing that can even begin to compare to the sound quality output here. This rip is done with superior equipment and in high-resolution as compared to previous iterations. The music comes highly recommended if you’re a fan of vocal jazz/fusion or psychedelic folk.

Enjoy, and as always, comments are welcomed!
Thank you so much for the incredible work!
ReplyDeleteJust gave your rip, that I download back in 2018, of Accolade a listen this morning and it really is a delightful album. I know I gave it a listen a few times when I first downloaded it (always get excited when you post something new) but it's always great to go back to something after not hearing it for a while and still get a kick out of it. Thanks again for saving this album from obscurity for me and others. Those that haven't heard this really are missing out on a truly fantastic album from a band that really should have gotten more attention but since they were hard to define it's no wonder that they got lost in the "music biz" .
ReplyDeleteAny chance of ripping "Accolade 2" someday?
Hey man, thanks a lot for the comment on this underappreciated post! This rip actually dates back to mid-2017, which is pre-UPV. I think my restoration skills have improved a lot since then, but I listened to this again recently and enjoyed it thoroughly, too. I'd dig working on Accolade 2 someday (as well as a UK pressing of this one) -- but they have not yet crossed my path... cheers!
DeleteThank you! I've never heard of this band.
